This looks like the same dog and man I've seen on news clips and other videos and every time I see them, I am AMAZED at the dog's hind leg strength and balance. Staying up that long is hard for a little dog, but much more difficult for a big dog like a golden. Most Golden's that I know can only be up like that a few seconds at a time. They must have started working on her balance and strength as a pup and just increased the time she could stay up until they got through a full dance. Amazing. The other thing I love is how she reaches her paw out to anticipate the twirls or other movements where he takes a paw. Cute!

Wonka is learning "kung fu" for his newest dance. We're nearly done with the choreography, but haven't worked much yet with the dogs in the routine... the two humans are still trying to get the timing and moves down first. Once we've got it clear in our heads, we can include the dogs. Wonka only has a few new tricks to learn for the routine and we've been working on those separate from the routine as a whole. One trick that seems like it should be "so simple" is proving complicated for Wonka because he really prefers to spin in a clockwise motion and this requires counter-clockwise. I'm sure he'll get it eventually.
