"Oh Boy!" Freestyle competition Sunday, Nov 6

Wonka and I will be dancing to Buddy Holly's "Oh Boy" on Sunday and we could use all the good thoughts that PV can muster for us! We've had a lot going on during the past few months and so Wonka and I haven't prepared as much as we normally would.... my main goal is to just get through it without Wonka "freezing" - but it would be AWESOME if we actually earned a qualifying score! We've struggled to complete this title and only need one more qualifying score (leg) to have it done and move to the next level. A qualifying score is a minimum of 8.0 (out of 10) on both artistic and technical.
So, if you can, please spare some good thoughts for us as we enter this final week of preparations and then for Sunday when we're dancing!

If anyone is in Michigan and wants to come watch us (or any of the other dogs competing this weekend) we'll be at Springfield Oaks Center in Davisburg, MI (north of Detroit, South of Flint). Map available here: Map to Events Location
Wonka and I are only entered on Sunday and we are supposed to be dancing sometime around noon.... if you want to come watch, it would be best to be there around 11-11:30am. Free entry for spectators. Dogs who are not entered in the show can not be inside the building.

Thanks ladies! If hubby gets a decent video of us then I will try to post it next week for PugVillage to see it.

At this point I'm just hoping that my costume doesn't fall apart/off and that Wonka doesn't freeze in the ring and refuse to move for a full two minutes. If neither of those things happen then we will be happy campers. Do you think it would help if I told Wonka he could have a whole hamburger or a bag of cheese puffs if he makes it through the whole thing?? If only he understand human language enough for a bribe like that to work!!!

Wonka and I had a good practice tonight so hopefully that's a good sign! While Wonka and I were dancing, another freestyle dancer walked around the room clapping, crinkling a bag and yelling "woo-hoo" every so often.... WAY louder and more distracting than we're likely to experience while in the competition ring. Wonka was a little distracted, but considering the level of noise and movement, I'm very proud of him for sticking with me so well. He's such a good boy!

After you asked I looked at the title and saw that I had the wrong date, oops! It's Sunday the 7th! We usually compete both days on a competition weekend, but we're just doing the one day this time.
Wonka says he's excited that Miss Mosey-moo and D'Arcy will be cheering for him from afar!
