What I love most is his little wag and relieved look when he sees you are going to pick him up. He is a beautiful boy.
Take care,

I'm sure that even Fred Astaire occasionally rested on his laurels. And sat down to watch Ginger. Hugs to you both.
well... I am suitably impressed and my pugs all hung their heads in shame that all they can do is high 5, sit, stay, bow, etc for treats.. not a single one of them can dance! I vote for continuing to dance, and while I please please PLEASE do not want you to think I'm offering frustrating advice, I *am* curious.. when you practice, do you wear that same skirt outfit or do you wear pants? Is it possible the skirt threw him off? Or was he just having too much fun watching you dance?
Oh, and by far, my favorite part was when you stick your foot out and he taps it... both in front and behind you! Well done, both of you!!!

Kayte, I don't mind the question at all, it's a good one. We generally practice in normal clothes, but I always do at least a few practice sessions in costume to try and get him used to the costume and to make sure it won't spook him. I know it's important to help the dog generalize and the costume is part of that... so, we practice in different locations when possible, with the music at different volumes, in costume, in pajamas, in jeans, with treats in hand, treats off to the side, and occasionally no treats until the very end. We don't do the routine all the way through every time we practice.... mostly we work on the transitions or individual tricks and then we'll occasionally do the whole routine a couple of times to make sure it flows right.
Thank you that really made me smile!
