So... I took a virtual model and photoshopped it a bit (and added Wonka! )... what does everyone think of this sort of look for 50's? Black shirt with pink trim, pink capri's, penny loafers or ked's, with a pony tail and a pink scarf.

Of course, I still have to find all of this... pink capri's shouldn't be too hard to find... and I can add pink trim to a black shirt...
    VERY VERY CHICK!!

I love the pink with the black, really makes wonka stand out and you will be easy to see also...the outfit looks clean and simple and easy to do your dance in without tripping over any adornments hanging down. very complementary...

so okay is that you that you used in the pic...

Also, can you put the same color pink collar on Wonka? Or a bandanna or something similar?? What a striking contrast!

No, it's one of those myvirtualmodel.com avatar's that you use for site's like Land's End to 'try clothes on'... that's about as close as the virtual model will come to looking like me... that's about what my build is, but I do have bangs and pony tail with bangs is not an option on the virtual model.

I was thinking possibly a pink bow tie... if not that, then he'd probably wear a bandana. Hey, boys in the 50's wore pink and so can Wonka!!!

Here's a really fun on-line store for 50's style clothes and accessories! The guy was really nice, too, when I ordered shirts for the group I used to sing in!

how about a little pink vest for wonka, a bow might distract him and a bandana may turn around and get in his little legs way....

Cool site! Thanks very much!!! I saw that this web site has Chiffon Scarves, capri's for women and all kinds of other stuff I can use! I might still browse the local thrift shops first to see if I can get some good deals, but it's wonderful to have an online source if I don't have luck locally.

Edited to add... Wonka has a custom made (Fashionable Furbabies) bowling shirt... he wore it for a Doggy Sock Hop Fundraiser we did for a local pet rescue last year. It would be awfully cute, but unfortunately, I think it would restrict his movements too much for dancing.
