Hey Guys,
I was going to do an article on pugs in agility, dance, etc for our rescue newsletter-I thought it might be a good way to combat the pugs are lazy mindset and it might open some eyes! Would anyone be willing to answer a few questions for me (seriously, it's just the rescue newsletter so my questions are very basic). Let me know!
Thank you!
My pugs don't compete, but they love agility workouts!
you can pm me your questions?

We do agility training but haven't started competing in it yet. Getting pregnant kind of got in the way of me running but ya. Anyways I will answer any question you might have.

We do fun agility and only compete with other dogs in our trainer's various classes.
But ask away if you think I can help!

Saira,
As you know my crew have all done agility. Kittie and Abby are my only ones currently competing.
My crew definitley are *not* lazy. I'd be more than happy to answer any questions, showing people what pugs can do is a real passion of mine!

We're into agility.....been doing it for 2 years now, at the intermediate level.
Junior and I did it for 10 years, just for fun, never competed, but we were at the advanced level. When we did decide to compete he was too tall for the low jumps and I didn't want him to put more pressure on his joints because he was older, so we continued to do it for fun.
I'll answer anything I can!

I'd be happy to help too, but I expect we are the least experienced, we only did it for a year.
I started it for Onion, so she'd get good at listening to voice comands for left and right before she lost her sight, but it was such fun that I had to draft in Granfer with George and Paul Pugslave with Maisie too!
Almandine and the gang - George, Dannika, Darwishi (Wish) and Pickle.... and who knows.... maybe a new little boy too...

Thanks guys!! I will be PM'img you.![]()
Well, that's odd... I had a post all typed out and submitted, but it never showed up here... Guess I'll try again!
Wonka and I would be happy to answer questions about Canine Freestyle. People always get a kick out of watching a pug dance. We did a demonstration this morning at our local library to kick off their summer reading program. This year's theme is "Get a Clue at your library" (Mystery/suspense theme) so I threw together a quick dance routine to the theme song from Inspector Gadget - I wore a trench coat, hat and had a magnifying lens. We also did our "Rock this Town" routine. The little kids were giggling and having so much fun. Wonka makes everyone smile.![]()
