Default Getting excited, new Freestyle class soon

Wonka and I will start a new Canine Freestyle class next week!! I'm getting excited about being back in a class again. Wonka and I have hardly practiced over the last two months and I'm sure he'll be happy to see his dancing friends again. It will be a little sad and strange though with a different instructor... you may recall that our old instructor's Pom passed away last summer, she has had a really hard time dealing with the loss and just didn't feel like she could teach the class. One of the other students stepped up and will be teaching the class instead.

One other exciting piece of related news, I finally found a dance instructor that is willing to work with Wonka and I to improve the 'artistic' quality of our routine with more actual dance moves. So many dance instructors in this area either laughed outright and said no, or just didn't reply to my requests when via email or phone message. This guy is a Swing dance instructor and we've exchanged several emails about a private lesson. He sounds very open and interested in helping. We need to get back into the 'swing of things' so I can be ready to compete for the second leg to complete our Beginner title in either March or May. After that we can move on to Novice, which is 3 legs (3 qualifying competitions). I'll be using the same "Rock this Town" routine for finishing the Beginner title and after that I'll probably pick a new song (with PV's help, of course! )

You can see Wonka (and some of his friends) dancing on this page: http://wonkaweb.homestead.com/freestylegroup.html They aren't flawless performances (we've certainly done better) but these are the one's that happened to get recorded.

That is too cute! I can't believe you can get him to do all that. Especially in that last one... Ernie would never do what I say when there are leaves around!
