I am so excited, my boy is so smart and though he may not be the fastest I am sure we will both have fun![]()
Having fun is what it is all about. Don't forget the treats.
awww chumley! Speed is not all it's cracked up to be... FUN is what agility is about.. and hang in there.. take it slow... learn to LOVE each obstacle... then just "do em" and feel the love and smiles all around you! (and before you learn each piece of equipment, while your dinner before class may seem small, you will get ton's o biscuits!)

that sounds like a lot of fun. Keep us updated.
I have 2 pugs...
one big one (Gizmo)
one little one (Shelby)
I agree about taking it it slowly, if you don't rush obstacle training and really have a clear idea about what you want he'll be very confident in doing agility....and with that confidence comes speed! Pugs may never win nationally, but they can be pretty quick.
Have fun and in addition to treats, don't forget toys too!

Chumley is generally a pretty fast pug, however we had his yearly vet visit and gained 4 pounds over the last year. We have cut calories and we are out walking every night now. He and I will be feeling in shape in no time..
I saw the Superdogs at the PNE last weekend and that inspired me to get out and get involved with my fur babies..
Roxi (Boston) is starting general obedience classes Sept 23 and after that we will get her going too. Roxi has so much energy, and she is one of the fastest little dogs I have ever seen..She is a smartie as well.![]()
Go Chumley, you're going to have so much fun!

That is so neat!!! The dogs LOVE the classes and shows cuz it's special times with you...and special treats!
That sounds like fun and that picture is hilarious!
Thank you for inspiring me, Chumley! I searched for agility classes in my area, and did find some, but one of the pre-requisites is good manners - uh oh! Molly's a sweetheart, but she does get overly excited around new people and/or dogs, and doesn't always come when called, soooo... we're starting "Basic Good Manners" lessons on Friday! I'll let you know how it goes.
I love your picture of Chumley and Roxi, by the way!
