    Default Saving treats for later?

Mz Tilly being the spoiled queen she is has more goodies than she knows what to do with and must resort to stashing some for later. Tonight she spent 20 minutes hiding her cookie treat from her groomers valentine goodie bag. It was funny, she took it then left it on the floor, until I got close to it, then she grabbed it and began looking to hide it. the most hilarious was she pushed it underneath me. Oh, thats the last place he'll look!

Finally she shoved it between the couch cushions and spent 10 minutes pushing 'dirt' over it. It's in plain view, just wedged in.
The first time I saw this behaviour in her it was with a piece of steak, That I didn't let her hide, then when she wasn't eating her food and I'd give her chicken bribes she tried to hide the chicken pieces.

I have this nightmare of hidden goodies all over the house.
    Do yours bury their treasures?

    How cute!
None of mine do that , boxer gulps down pretty much anything offerred, Sherman suspiciously sniffs then gently licks and tastes everything before deciding it worthy of ingestion, Rodney spits out or turns his nose up at almost everything except pineapple.
I think Mz Tilly is beautiful...looks like an adorable girly version of my Sherman...

This morning when I brought her down the first thing she did was run to the couch to check her booty. Then she was ready to go out. She checkef it 2 more times since. Being a cookie I'm not too worried and am going to see how long it lasts.

Treats in our house barely make it out of my hand!
The image of her doing hiding her treats is very sweet.

What an adorable trait. Mz. Tilly is so cute.
Same as Donna's house.... treats barely make it out of my hand! In fact, sometimes I have to check and make sure I still have all fingers!

Phoebe does this. She usually hides everything in plain view, she will push "dirt" over it too. She sometimes hides her things under me. I also find them in dirty laundry...so make sure you check your dirty laundry. I found a biscuit once while seperating my colors, which would have been a total mess if I were to put that through the wash.

My Jubilee(rat terrier) always "saves" her night night treat until the next morning. Then she pulls it out and eats it in front of my other dogs, just to torment them.

This brings to mind a memory from long ago. We had a sweet shi tzu named Keeli. We had left the kitchen table to go to my Grandmother's quite suddenly.(I think she was sick) leaving on the table half a pan of fried Salmon patties. At that time, our dogs just roamed the house, but she had never gotten on the table. When we returned, the pan on the table was licked clean. We knew who the culprit was. Later that night, when Hubby sat down on the couch, he found a salmon patty under a pillow, then another smashed between the cushions. My daughter yelled from her bed room because something was in her bed. Found a couple salmon patties in her bed linens. I then found another buried in the bathroom rug. It got to be pretty funny, but we sure were aggravated with her for wasting all that food!!!

My blind little Max loves to hide his treats!!....he hid his Bully stick 3 weeks ago and I still can't find it. Usually he hides his toys behind the cushions on the couch or pushes them underneath my bed. He's my rescue baby and I don't think he ever had an opportunity to play with toys, as he didn't know what to do with them for the first few months after I adopted him...but now..he's a toy playing machine!!

    I love my Max and.........

My puggies haven't started "hiding" their goodies yet but my Golden, Sadie hides stuff all the time! especially in my flower beds! I always know when she has hidden something because she will hover right next to me while I'm gardening and start to nudge me with her nose as if to tell me to back off, thats her spot! Dogs are the greatest aren't they!
