Since hes only 8 weeks old and he has now had three different kinds of food isnt good... Decide on what you want to feed him and stick to it.
I feel the royal canin 33 is the best for the pups the kibble is tiny and they really thrive on it. Put a wee bit of St helens goats milk through it. He will thrive really well on it. He should only get about 50g of royal canin just now... It is probably the most expensive just now, its gone up in price even thro the breeders program but IMO its the best stuff for the little puggys. Easy kibble for them to eat.
I used to use AG but the kibble isnt small enough for them.
Like someone else said, when you switch, make sure you switch slowly. I mixed 25% new with 75% old for a few days, then moved up to 50% 50%, and then to 75% new and 25% old, and so on, until I finally got to 100% new. That probably makes no sense, and I don't know it's right, but it has worked well both times that I have switched puppy foods. I feed Orijen Puppy Food to Justice and regular Orijen to Liberty. With Liberty I also alternate after each bag with Orijen Regional Red, Orijen Fish, and regular Orijen. I also mix pumpkin with every meal. There's probably something else I could or should be doing, but my 2 seem to be doing well!

Hey again,
I have been mixing his foods gradually introducing the kibble slowly over the past few days. At the moment he's on just under 50-50 and we've had him for 4 days now.
He seems to be really happy with his food now and can't wait to get it. I will leave off adding anything else for a while as I don't want to upset his stomach.
Thank you for all the advice, it's really helped!
Just one more quick thing, do your pugs always look for more food? I give the recommended allowance, but as he's a large build a tiny, tiny bit more, but he still looks for more food sometimes!
And a few pics (sorry for the quality, my camera broke so I quickly used my phone).

Yep, Pugs are food-driven and seem to perfect the "look at me I'm starving even though I just ate" look to try to guilt us into feeding them more than is healthy.![]()
We never touch people so lightly that we don't leave a trace.
We have 14 week old pug sisters and we have been feeding them the following:
I cook down 2 lbs of lean ground beef (90/10) with 1 T olive oil in a dutch oven. I drain off the fat. Then, I add 1/2 bag frozen green beans, 1/4 bag frozen peas, and 3 cups cooked brown rice and about 4-6 cups of water. I cook all of it until it is very soft. You can freeze some, if you don't need it all. Refrigerate up to 3 days.
I give my girls 1/3 cup of the mixture at breakfast (also give them 1 teaspoon of non-fat plain yogurt) and at dinner with 1 T. Organix brand kibble.
At lunch, I serve them several chunks of cooked chicken breast or thigh, some chunks of fresh fruit (peach, banana, plum...) and some veggie (slices of raw zucchini, shreds of carrot...). They eat a total of 3 times a day with a snack or two in between.
So far, they are doing VERY well. Their coats are gorgeous! They have been to the vet a couple of times for shots and they are right on track with their weight and doing super.
Hope this helps!
