if you just take frozen beef liver and cut it into small pieces or strips...
low cook it in your over for a few hours at a very low temp, it will act as a dehydration method...
be careful tho...liver has a lot of fat soluble vitamins in it....and too much can eventually do some damage to your dog's liver...
might want to consider turkey or chicken...and you can do the same thing without the flour, which will just add weight to your dog..

made it with turkey and chicken as well
it was a hit
but only in small amounts at one time for treats
froze what I did not need unless later once they were dehydrated..
tried to dehyrdrate beef and found it was too much of a pain actually. the liver breaks up really easy and only use it in small amounts...at a time. the vet uses liver treats at the office so figure liver can not be that bad for he dogs. they use the liver for the cats too..although I have not tried it on my cat yet...
will try the beef again sometime.........actually looked for some chicken liver and gizzards.......bet they would be great dried too and the dogs would love them. they love them raw........too
A pugs world is full of play and sleep and of course good food.........
So with the trout cookies....
What do you mean mix in the food processor? We have an old one, but I've never looked at it too closely (it's hubby's). I thought food processors chopped? Sorry for such a dumb question, I don't know my way around kitchen gadgets very well!
