I use RC for all my dogs
the pugs are on their diet food
and the bullies are on the bulldog 24 food
    and no problems with them
my dogs do great on it

    why change?

There are many high quality kibbles in that more of a "normal" protein range. The higher protein foods are more for working/larger breed dogs that can process it properly.

the USA Royal Canin has completely different ingrediants than the UK Royal canin!

Here is the Us mini adult food -

Chicken, brewers rice, chicken meal, rice, corn gluten meal, oatmeal, chicken fat, natural chicken flavor, dried beet pulp (sugar removed), dried brewers yeast, anchovy oil (source of DHA), soya oil, potassium chloride, salt, flaxseed, DL-methionine, choline chloride, sodium tripolyphosphate, Vitamins [dl-alpha tocopherol acetate (source of vitamin E), L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate (source of vitamin C), biotin, d-calcium pantothenate, niacin supplement, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), vitamin A acetate, vitamin D3 supplement, thiamine mononitrate (vitamin B1), vitamin B12 supplement, riboflavin supplement (vitamin B2), folic acid], salmon meal, dried egg product, magnesium oxide, Trace Minerals [zinc proteinate, zinc oxide, ferrous sulfate, copper proteinate, copper sulfate, manganese proteinate, manganous oxide, sodium selenite, calcium iodate], marigold extract (Calendula officinalis L.), L-Carnitine, preserved with natural mixed tocopherols (source of vitamin E) and citric acid, rosemary extract.

and here is the UK! slightly smaller! I know that UK wont sell some of the US dog food as it has banned ingrediants in it.

Dehydrated poultry meat, maize flour, animal fats, hydrolysed animal proteins, beet pulp, soya oil, yeast, fish oil, minerals, DL-methionine, sodium polyphosphate, L-lysine, egg powder, L-carnitine

Ok Guys - I'm reading your comments & you've all got me quite interested here....

Doug, my first pug - fed a 1/2 cup on RC Pug Adult in mornings & a 1/2 cup again at evenings. No scraps from our plates or no treats
(except a Dentist Stix once a week). He's never hungry or looks for food during the day or begs for it. Very strict diet. Although poop quite green in colour? Runny yet solid/shaped? RC is quite expensive here too, €25 for small bag, about $18 or £20 roughly (not that thats the issue here or anything!)

Any thoughts on food?? Dry nuts only!!!
