Default RAW knuckle bones..........such a great experience for the pugs and bullies

I bought some new knuckle bones last night for the dogs here. everyone gets their own and each has their own place outside to chew on them. except for gus that is on the matt beside me in the house. it will keep them busy for hours and they all love a good chew

only feed them raw. I try to freeze them before I give them to to them so they last a bit longer.......

NOT a sound out of anyone this am. for a long time already......just the gnawing on the bones and happy faces on the pugs and bullies

do you feed knuckle bones raw??
A pugs world is full of play and sleep and of course good food.........

I haven't ever given the dogs any bones. Where do you buy them?

    I did it Pat!!
Finally went and purchased a bag of beef soup bones...
WOW...what a treat for Max and Jenny!!!
Jenny is a puppy mill survivor and very food aggressive...
definately had them in their own rooms for this treat!
I cannot believe how much enjoyment these little guys got
out of a raw beef soup bone...and the bag of bones (8 in total)
    only cost me $4.00!!

Thanks Pat for encouraging me to try this!!!

I give my guys marrow bones once in awhile and they LOVE them!!! I freeze them the night before and then dole them out the next morning and for the rest of the day it's pretty quiet around here too LOL! Great, inexpensive treat!

you can buy them at a local butcher or the supermarket...
just ask for soup bones..and they will show them to you
they are inexpensive and a great chew
people on the bully board......put them through the dishwasher when they are done with the marrow and the meat and then they still chew on the bones..

    they last a long time
    remember raw only...

way to go Sharon. I knew your dogs would love hem. they are great and keeps them quiet for a long time. they are not that expensive etiher. when you start to see teeth marks on the bones..toss them and replace them...
am glad that you tried it Sharon and bet the dogs were too.
HOW did Max react to the bone???

We just started giving Charlie a marrow bone too - it was his special treat after getting his shots a couple weeks ago - itfunny though, when he can't get the meat off he barks at it...silly puppy...

Watch for broken teeth with any type of raw bones. I had two pugs with broken teeth within a week of each other so no more raw bones here. It was a very expensive vet bill to have to remove two slab fractures. Bully sticks are a much better option and I've never had a broken tooth with a bully stick.

I have used them for 20 years plus now and never had a dog break off a tooth yet.
they are usually tossed out and replaced once the meat and marrow are chewed out and they gnaw on them a bit longer.
    I only use raw bones..................
