Bugger Puggered, I might email them next week. I was reading through the dry food comparison site the other day. I see we don't have orijjen or a blue buffalo brands available here either? I am really leaning towards going and getting some of those Barf patties until I get the hang of raw feeding though. They sound really good.

Can you make the switch to raw foods straight away or is it necessary to wean them onto the new diet?

Our girl loves her dinner and does a 'dinner dance' for me when she sees I have her dish. I feed her a mixture of dried food because the vet and others recommend it, cooked vegies and her favourite, raw steak. At the moment she is having Pedigree for small dogs but I have given her Royal Canin for pugs. I buy a piece of roasting topside as it is all meat with very little fat and cut it into serving-size slices. Tiny also enjoys fresh fruit every morning - grated apple, diced pear, diced stone fruit, mango, banana, whatever is in season. She loves to have a bit of whatever we are having and is thankfully satisfied with the smallest of portions so we can control her weight. My husband believes that all she needs is raw meat but I cannot be convinced of this.

My Audrey has had heaps of the super premium dry foods out there. She has had Royal Canin pug, Royal Canin Mini, Advance weight loss, Nutro Chicken and Oatmeal (i think), Science diet Oral Care, Eukanuba weight loss, Dr B's Raw BARF in lamb and in chicken. She has problems with her anal glands and after reading on the dog food advisory site I will not be feeding her anything but Holistic foods from now on. I work in a petstore and can not believe the RUBBISH the reps drill into you about how good their foods are. I am so annoyed I fell for their clever sales pitches. The local petstore near me keeps Earthbound Holistic which from what I can see is FANTASTI, they also sell Nutrience which is 4 stars. So horrifying to see IAMS, EUK, Pedigree, Purina brands and SD all in the 1/2 star group. Very worrying :( Holistic and natural all the way!

Also a shame I only have access to only two brands on this list: Best Dry Dog Foods
If anyone knows where to purchase any of these anywhere else please let me know. Have heard fantastic things about Taste of the Wild

Also I transferred Audrey straight from dry food to Barf and she didn't seem to have any problems. It's always recommended to slowly transition. I found Dr B's BARF fantastic, the packets were a great size and worked out really cheap! I would have continued feeding but unfortunately Audrey needs dry kibble to help with her anal glands :(
