    Default Healthy, Homemade Dog Treats!

I have had this recipe for many years and wanted to share it. My dogs love them and hope that yours do too.

    3 1/2 Cups Flour
3 1/2 Cups Dry Oatmeal (not instant)
1/2 Pound Ground Beef or Turkey (cooked slightly)
    3 Medium Carrots
    Mix in Large Bowl

    2 TBSP Cod Liver Oil
    1 Can Beef Broth
    Mix until dough like consistancy
    Flour surface
Roll dough out to 1/2" thickness
Use any style or shape cookie cutter desired or cut into squares
Bake at 275 for 2 hours
Allow to cool and give to your dog for a tasty treat
    *Keep Refridgerated*

Check your beef broth for onions. A lot of beef broth has onions in it.

Yes, Linda.... You are correct. That is extremely important as onions are toxic to dogs. Sorry about that, see thats what I get for not being specific, thanks for that catch.
****I get my beef broth at Trader Joes or AJ's. Its organic. **** With no onions :)

for homemade treats what I do is
dry liver or chicken or turkey or hotdog pieces in the oven
for a 5 hours or longer on 200F temp
it works good and they are all natural and the dogs love them
I also buy some dehyrated treats

tried making other treats but had no luck with them
but will give this recipe a try sometime
    thanks for the info
A pugs world is full of play and sleep and of course good food.........
