    Default Need a new food

Looking for a new food for my 8 yr old gassy pug. What are some good foods? He can eat anything. Right now he's on merrick. I have 3 dogs and there all on something diff. My French bulldog(4yrs old) eats hills z/d. Ugh it's the only thing he can eat. He vomits everything else or he gets ichy. Also have a puppy( french bulldog) who is on royal canin puppy. Any input on any food would be great! Thanks.

Raw is ideal and would be great for your Frenchie too. you can either home prepare or buy a good commercially prepared raw. I prefer to let the experts do the mixing. I use Nature's Variety frozen raw patties and Stella & Chewy's frozen raw.

You will not believe the difference it will make in both dogs, healthier skin and coat, less itching, pink skin, less gas, poop becomes very small, very firm and almost odorless. It's wonderful, what they are intended to eat.

That Hills Z/D is overpriced, overprocessed crap, full of corn which is really bad for dogs. If you try these two on raw, guarantee you will never go back.

Another option is an air dehydrated raw, like Ziwipeak or Wysong's Archetype. It is a little more convenient to store than raw.

I recommend you buy commercially prepared raw food locally, as there is a risk if you order it online and are not home when it gets delivered it could thaw out.

    Take care,
    Lisa

Stella & Chewy's is certified every batch pathogen free, so is safe to handle, even for your kid.

My preference is for RAW but if you can't do that Orijen and Acana make great food.

Do you notice more gas and looser stools on Orijen? Mine do.

I thought there would be a problem. It took about three or four weeks to adjust adding it very, very slowly but now they have no gas and very firm stools.
I prefer RAW but need an easy option when I'm touring 'Showing' no time to shop, prepare or store fresh food. I think Orijen is the best quality kibble. Acana is good too but has some grain whereas Orijen is grain free and biologically appropriate real food kibble, never frozen.

I have to agree with the Stella & Chewys and Ziwipeak. Raisin gets both (alternating meals) and she loves it. She would let her kibble just sit there.
