How often should I rotate protein sources?

I try and rotate per purchase of bag Pug has sensitive to lamb in the past so I try not to make it the primary meat in his food but I feed them Canidea. Pugzrule, I used to not switch it because I didn't know I was supposed to and he was fine but then it was recommended to me. Someone told me that it's good to switch it up for their own flavor but I am not sure how reliable that was. I've been feeding Pug Canidea for a while and he does really well on it and same with Maize (I was also told pits have really sensitive systems so I am sticking to what works!)

I rotate each purchase as well. Unless I forget the current flavor LOL
