For the last several months I've been lazy and not cooking up Mz Tillz baked chicken food 'sprinkles'. I'd been shredding a quarter slice or less of lunchon ham to sprinkle on her food. Last night I cooked her chicken in baking dishes on the grill. She knew, oh she knew it was hers. She was standing at the window watching, when I took it off the grill and came in she did a mini-pugtona happy dance. Then sat down in the kitchen waiting while I chopped and bagged. Then gave her about 3/4ths a chicken thigh for being so smart in knowing it was hers and then waiting so nicely.
How did she know??? she was upstairs when I filled the baking dishes and they were covered in foil. She could not have smelled it inside, but she knew.
So, All is right in her world, chicken has returned.
BTW: it's the BIG family pack of chicken thighs boneless-skinless, free-range/antibiotic free...3.50lb, usually 4lb packs. Place in baking dishes, cook on grill @350 degrees for 30-40 minutes. finely chop so it can be sprinkled on food. Seperate into quart bags with enough for a 2-3 days, freeze

They can smell things from distances that we can't fathom. That is so funny that she did the chicken dance!
I have chicken thawing right now for dumpling so we can work on leash training this week.

Doing the Chicken Dance!Ms. Tilly, you make me smile!
I wish we had a picture of you doing your happy chicken dance.
Isn't it amazing how they have this psychic ability to know when food or good things are coming? Miss Nilla LOVES mozzarella cheese sticks. We can get other stuff out of the fridge with her taking no notice or barely lifting her head, but go for the cheesesticks and she somehow KNOWS that's what you're getting. She's right there begging before it's even opened. It's amazing.

Lucky Miss Tilly, Eddie would be dancing everywhere for that.
We had a guinea pig that would start to squeek, and squeek and squeek, everytime we opened the vegetable crisper and rustled a bag. She new it was lettuce time. That pig lived for 7 years.

Wally here. We got Easter lamb chops! :) Mommy was a piggy and only gave us little shreds of meat off the bone and ate the rest all by herself. We love BBQ season, but we think Mommy should be more generous!
