Thanks again Lisa. Cost does matter

I will give the others a little to try. I agree it's best to leave Fizzy on just the plain ZP for now, thanks again for your advice it's easy to add in another meal as tomorrow we get Noah so he will be fed an extra meal so i'll just give Fizzy a little more food too . I am SO very pleased his poo is solid it's be a very stressful 3 weeks with him just 'not being right' I just hope soon he will start to gain weight ..

To add all the Chihuahuas are doing fantastic on Ziwi Peak

Winston is highly allergic to rice, which will trigger him to have diarrhea. This is why the vet won't put him on a prescription dog food (and fine by me, because I don't necessarily think they are the best). Potatoes don't seem to bother him in the same way, although he doesn't get a lot of them because I curtail carbs. Like your chi, Winston has bouts of pancreatitis, so simply feeding meat isn't as beneficial as feeding very lean meat, fish or non-fat cottage cheese. Smaller portions also seem to help but again, each dog is different and you have to experiment.
