    Default Royal Canin

My vet recently changed Snorkey and Chloe's food to Royal Canin. I was wondering if anyone else uses it and how their pug(s) are taking to it. Thanks!

What was the reason for the food change? I would never use this food as there are many many other better quality foods. You're paying alot of money for not so good a product.

Minni was on prescription Hills GD for struvite crystals/stones. We switched to prepared raw. The raw cost about the same( actually a little less) and she has had no recurrence of the problem. Both she and Ray eat raw and love it The nutrional quality is far superior to the prescription food.

Mine were on Royal Canin and did well. My Vet also told me to switch since Bugsy was putting weight on when he was on Taste of the wild.

Winnie has been on Royal Canin since we got her (3 months ago). We left her on that brand because she likes it and it doesn't give her gas!!

All my dogs (personal and foster) lost weight on foods like TOTW. I control their portions and treats and exercise when possible. They would get more nutrition out of a cup of TOTW versus a cup of food made with fillers.

My dogs havent' had gas on Amicus or Brothers or Nutrisca (even without taking probiotics and enzymes or dried parsley). Compare ingredients and for the price of RC, you could get more for your money and better ingredients for your dog.

Our vet changed their food from Science Diet Adult Light to this Royal Canin Stone & Coat formula. Chloe has had some crystals and the vet thought this might help her. Also, since they turned 8 he thought it might be time for a change. I'm seriously considering going back to SD. I know that the raw diet is popular but I don't think I would go that route.

There are better options for weight loss and crystals. These Science Diet ingredients are horrible.
