Zeus must be down close to 5 or 6 pounds now in the last year with eating more raw fruits and veggies. Max is loosing too but not as fast as Zeus is but then Max did not have as much to loose as Zeus..lol

they think it is a ball and take it somewhere to eat it

I toss the core........after he is done but they have proven it would take lots of lots of apple seeds to harm a dog......

Don't they take too big of bites to swallow, I'd be concerned over choking. Ray, in particular, would eat the whole thing at once if he could. BTW... great job on getting their weight down. I'm sure they've tried the guilt trip the whole time.

Getting the weight down is hard work for a pug. but Zeus is down likely about 5 pounds now I would say and Max is loosing for sure too. most vegetables should be steamed anyhow.....so what I do is...if I make them for me for supper...I make some extra for them too. I put them in the fridge and use it on their dogfood the next meal. kinda a slop dish..I call it..lol mix of all the steamed veggies.
Fruit I use raw.....if you want you can chop it fine fine and use it that way too. Both of my pugs are fast eaters but both take their time with an apple....I am sure in the wild all dogs take their time eating things that they have to chew......the kibble is just over the tongue and look out stomach here we come....

Zeus is extremely different now and full of more energy. he started to do the pugtona around in here and that is the first time in a long long time I have seen him do that.....Max does it all the time.

I was concerned with Zeus and his weight and I have lost over 70 pounds myself over the last 6 years...eating more fruits and veggies and less starches and carbs......it works good.

the gilt trip..........LOL made me laugh............they do that all the time..................I can not look at the PUGS eyes or I would cave in big time at supper.....

My pugs love apples, pears and bananas. You can't eat one without giving up half of it to them!
