So I've been hearing mixed things about garlic for dogs.
I watched a video from a holistic vet and she said garlic is good for yeasty dogs as it's an antifungal etc. But I've also read on the ASPCA website that raw garlic is bad for dogs... which is it???
"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.”
In large amounts it is bad. Not sure what that "large" amount is. I don't think 1/2 a clove fresh or 1/8 teaspoon powder would be harmful. I've seen it in some dog foods as well.
I'm on the fence over garlic.
i'm interested, but haven't taken the plunge.
Take care,
Lisa

I know it made my pug anemic.
I have made homemade dog cookies that call for garlic powder. It was 1 tsp and it made 12 cookies. It's not something I do often but they were fine. I know some people who feed raw garlic to keep fleas at bay. I have used garlic oil on their coats for that purpose but I've never fed it to them. There's too much controversy for me to take a risk.
