    Default Blue Buffalo Wilderness

    Hi All
Just switched Chunk to Blue Buffalo Wilderness Natural Evolutionary Diet for Small breeds. Its grain free and high in protein.. but I noticed lately he is not really digesting it all the way .. on few occasions he has vomited hours after eating. I'm not sure if its the food or something else. He is 13 months. We switched from Blue Buffalo Small breed Life Protection Chicken and Rice.
Has any one had the same symptoms with this dog food or when switching to new dog food, and if you can recommend dog food that has been great for your pug that may be we should try ... Any advice is appreciated ..
    Thank you so much !

did you switch directly from one food to the other? I switched Otis from Purina Prolife (which the breeder had him on) to Blue Buffalo lamb and oatmeal puppy formula, which I did by mixing the new food in with the old food over a couple weeks, slowing increasing the amount of the new food each day, and he didn't have any problems :)

We were using Blue Buffalo Chicken/Oatmeal Puppy @ 29% protein & Marley got really bad loose poop after being on it for a few weeks. The Vet suggested max 27% protein for her. We are now switching from the Science Diet she's been on to sooth her intestinal tract to Blue Buffalo chicken/oatmeal small breed puppy & see how she does @ 27%. Maybe 36% protein is to much for him to digest. Marley is just over 5 months--don't know if that has anything to do with her digestion.

Give him some digestive enzymes. Kibble is hard and dry and SLOW to digest (up to 10 or 12 hours, something like that). Pet Digestive Enzymes for Optimal Digestive Health

I'd also recommend a potato free diet.
