Reading between the lines, I'm getting the impression you might be free feeding, or leaving the food down all the time? I could be totally wrong about that too, but just in case..

A set feeding time (twice a day works well for us) will help bunches. If he doesn't eat at mealtime, he waits till the next one, and will get the idea pretty quick.

We got a SamBaere meat grinder and I just love it! It grinds up bones and all and I make dogfood for about a month at a time and freeze it. It's really not any more expensive than a good quality kibble and has done wonders for the dogs.

Ribbit is very picky we went from BilJack to Blue and now to holistic selects. This sounds horrible but fry up some bacon save the grease let cool and a little drizzle over the dry food. I only had to do it once. Also did you slowly switch the food?
