I noticed in the food poll that most ppl who feed TOTW use the pacific stream formula so I was wondering if there was a reason for the choice? Just curious is all! I use the Sierra mountain formula myself, I guess because it was one that had a bit lower protein percentage than the others and I must just be slow to adapt to change because some of the really high protein formulas still leave me concerned for kidneys. :)
The fish will have lots of omegas which is very good, fish is low on the allergy charts and the thinking on protein and kidneys has changed. in fact, I have little Zoe who has elevated kidney values and we switched her from TOTW kibble which her previous owner had fed her, to raw, which is much higher protein and meat content even. The thinking now is that protein itself isn't the problem for kidneys, but LOW QUALITY protein. Raw is the highest quality protein for carnivores. We will be re-testing her values in two weeks so it will be interesting to see if the values get better with raw or not.
In a gentle way, you can shake the world.
