since we had the bout with the upset tummies here and everyone loved the pumpkin right out of the tin
wander if it has benefits to be added to the diet
mine all love it
and it works good on the belly and bowels too
anyone had pumpkin all the time
not sure it would hurt the dog.........if I did..
a real hit here with all 3 including Gus

Pumpkin is a good way to add fiber to their diets...my dogs all love it and get a spoonful once a day with their kibble. Just make sure that it is 100% plain pumpkin and not the pie filling one.

thanks Carol
think I will do that here too
they just love it
right out of the can could not believe it
I just used the straight pumpkin too 100%
I bet lots of pugs would love it too
it is the texture they are not sure about at first but after that...they could not get enough of it
thanks again

My pugs have gotten a big ole tablespoon of pumpkin nightly for years! Great for anal glands too!

Someone on this forum suggested filling up ice cube trays and freezing. Thats what I do now and Lola and Ozzy share a cube in the morning (mixed in their food) and share a cube at dinner. One large can of pumpkin fills 2 ice cube trays perfectly! Once frozen I transfer to a large zip-loc bag and keep frozen. It's perfect!

They absolutely love it! They spin circles while I fill up the trays, because they know they get to lick the can out (in a manner of speaking). I scrape the can and let them lick the spoon! LOL

I cook extra vegies every night to give to Tiny with her lunch the next day. She always has pumpkin, along with carrot, broccoli, zuccini, peas or beans with her fresh meat and dry food. Tiny seems to love this but then again, she just loves food! She also has some chopped pear or grated apple for breakfast, strawberries as well when they are in season.
