BARF World
I'm considering ordering some of this (lamb variety) to try on my pugs.

Im still considering switching Phoebe to the raw diet, she does fine on the kibble I give her (Blue Buffalo) Im not sure if Raw would be good for me right now, as there are 4 people in my house so our fridge and freezer is usually pretty full just with out food.
This is a commercially prepared raw, so not so much of a hassle.
Take care,
Lisa

No experience with that brand, but Chloe is on Natures Variety raw medallions and the ingredients look pretty similar. NV chicken is about $10 cheaper than that brand, and they also come in "trial" bags of 16 medallions for $4.99 each. I also signed up on their website to receive a buy one get one free bag of medallions and got it in my email within an hour!
Good luck!

Not sure, I'm not positive what an average portion size is for a 20 lb. who is not to active.
I'll look into the NV....but isn't that one heat processed?

The BARF is a step above the Steve's quality-wise and probably on par with the Bravo...definitely a step below the Nature's Variety and 2 steps down from the Primal and Stella & Chewy's. Bravo, NV, and Primal offer nuggets, patties and chubs (the chubs are like a big log of raw food and are the most cost-effective when feeding a houseful of dogs). We use Primal and Stella & Chewy's dehydrated (I keep it around for when I forget to defrost or run short of the regular raw), the NV has too much bone content in it for DD and his borderline kidney issues.

Thanks! I will look into those other brands as well.

I have no idea how it's processed, never even checked!! :)
I tried like 100 foods with Chloe, she is the only pug I have met that wouldn't eat kibble (after a multitude of vet tests, allergy tests, food tricks - you name it). All I know is when I put the NV down, she ate it ALL at once and we have never looked back. Her coat is super soft and shiny, poops are normal and on the small side, no bad breath, and her weight is being maintained on NV.
I am admittedly very biased, but I am sure there are many other foods out there just as good for your puggies! I just had such good luck with NV I sing their praises any chance I get. As I said, you can try a trial bag and if they don't like it you're only out $5.
