I have never had a puppy and I honestly wish you the best. You surely will have your hands full.
I have one pug and two Min. Schnauzers. All three came from wonderful rescues. They are healthy and I swore I would never buy from a breeder or a pet store again.
After $14,000 and many trips to NC State Vet Hospital my daughter finally lost her beloved Montross the pug at age 3yrs. He was purchased through a pet store. These are puppymill dogs and I refuse to support them. Rescue is my choice for a dog.

Hello and welcome to Pug Village. I think you are going to need us a lot. You are going to have your hands full, but oh what fun it will be with two of them. Welcome from Georgia![]()

The 2 puppies are doing well - for the most part with respect to house breaking. However, the past few days Henrietta has been very vicious with her biting. She bites us and she goes after her brother Gus and the big lab! It's non-stop. I attempt to discipline her by saying "NO" and giving her a little tap in her shoulder (a la the Dog Whisperer) but she keeps at it! What is the proper way to break her of the constant nipping?
Also Henrietta & Gus fight with each other a lot - should i break them up to teach them that they can't always do that?

Click on the link - this is the only way I could figure out how to post a pic of them!
They are very cute.
Do a search on here for "bite inhibition" and you should get a lot of info about nipping. I wouldn't personally follow Dog Whisperer methods, especially not with a puppy.

Another anti-Milan owner here ... I have had a lot of puppies in my time, and when they get after each other, I distract from the behavior, "AhAhAHH!!", and give a toy with lots of praise when they look at me. Nipping me gets "Ouch!!" and put down away from me and ignored. Always had good luck with it.

......please provide the Lab with a place where the puppies can't harass her or she will sort them out-x-pen and crate training when they cannot be supervised or you need sleep are good--please get down on your hands and knees and safety proof your home, puppies eat wood furniture legs, computer cords, 110 and 220 lines and much much more--a good washable puppy toy is a common tennis ball in the toe of a knotted sock

Macie Belle was from a breeder i would be asking questions. Her breeder hand raised the puppies only had a few dogs and all were kept in the house. I would not want you not to get the furkids i would just be careful. My breeder had a clause in the contract that he would get the puppy back. He had called many times over macie's four years and we visit on occasion he still has her mother and father. Macie and I call him Grampe not his real name.
they are a pair of cuties. Hope your enjoying your babies.
Lisa thanks for copying that fb post on pet mills. That picture brought tears to my eyes. While I have never bought from a pet shop/broker I have been in pet stores that sold puppies and kittens, I had no idea about where they came from. Makes me feel very ignorant.
