Hi all,
I would like to introduce my amazing Pug, Chaka! He is such a good boy and we love him so much! My hubby and I adopted him from a family who was no longer able to keep him and we are so glad that he has found his forever home with us. He is 17 months old and such a sweetie. He loves to cuddle with us and be with us as much as possible.
He has only been with us for a few days but he is adjusting very well...only thing is he doesn't seem to like any treats...... I have tried crunchy sweet potato treats, soft pumpkin treats, and doggie peanut butter drops...he just sniffs them and leaves them...any advice???
Here are some pictures of Chaka!
I look forward to meeting other pug families on this site!
xoxo,
Monique & Chaka
Chaka is adorable and it sounds like you are in love!

Aww Chaka is so cute! Welcome to Pug Village, I look forward to hearing stories and seeing pictures :)
My Nano isn't really treat-fussy, but the ones he loves the most are these guys: Zuke's Mini Naturals Dog Treats at PETCO in Salmon, and PureBites Natural Freeze Dried Dog Treats at PETCO in the Beef Liver.
I share little samples of things with my pug Nano when i'm cooking in the kitchen, and every now and then we'll find something he really likes. Small pieces of baby carrots, green beans, and cheerios are favourites right now.
I hope you find a favourite treat for your cute little guy soon :)
Nano is: 9 months and 27 lbs :)

Hello andto PugVillage. Glad you and Chaka have joined us. He is a handsome Puggie boy and thanks for posting pixs right away - we love photos here. I'm sure you will come across some kind of treat he likes sooner or later. I have 4 Pugs and they are not picky at all but I try to give them grain-free and healthy treats.
We never touch people so lightly that we don't leave a trace.
Chaka will be happy to see tiny fragments of poached chicken breast. He would be happier to see big fragments, but little pieces are easier to swallow and won't cause him to gag. Try nothing larger than the fingernail on your pinky. Since pugs will eat themselves into obesity, remember to offer treats at training, potty, and help him learn that begging is non productive. Pancreatitis is a disease known to pugs when they eat non doggy food, so no matter how much he wants to eat left overs or table scraps, harden your heart. Because treats are calorie input, white meat chicken is good and some owners grab a few kibbles off the breakfast dish and offer the kibbles as treats through the rest of the day. Did we mention that we are suckers for pictures, would love to see him and thank you for responding to his need for a forever home.
