well i got registered finaly. i have been a member since yesterday but i could only read posts! it was a screw up on my end i deleted the final registration e-mail on accident. thats admin for the help!
anyway the real reason im here, i just got 2 pugs! 2 little puppies will be coming home in about 1.5 wks. they are black and 6 weeks old now. i have named the boy gordon downie. "gordie". the girl is unnamed so far, she is shy as heck and slept alot during our visit, so cute... the boy however is quite the opposite... he will be quite the troublemaker... the pups are living with me, Andrew, and my GF of 5.5 years, Bridget. anyway pics and millions of questions to follow in the coming weeks.
Welcome to Pug Village. You will find lots of great people and lots of helpful information here.
Are you going to get the puppies at 8 weeks of age? That really is too young...there are many things that puppies learn from their mama from 8 to 12 weeks of age (like "biting hurts", lol). I would talk to the breeder about keeping them those few extra weeks...you can go and visit, but you will be happier in the long run if they have that extra time, even after they have been weaned.
Best of luck to you!!

Welcome, Andrew! That's such exciting news. But I agree with waiting a bit, even though it's hard. It will be worth it for the pups and for you in the long run. You'll get lots of info, advice and fun on this board, and we'll get the pleasure of hearing your new pups' adventures and hopefully seeing their pictures.![]()

Welcome to the village Andrew. Can't wait to see the new family.
I agree about the puppy pads. oh and a tray to stop the little puggies chewing up the pad!
Have fun!

Evelyn and precious Sadie..
i will be crate training for sure... explain to me how the pee pads work... i have never used them before. i will be using the training methods i see here... i trained my german sheppard about the same way except he did it for the praise... when i was using treats... i used ham or something i liked... when he dident do it right i ate it in front of him... boy he learned quick. i think for these pugs i will need a lot more treats.... i got 2 as i stated... i have heard they will be happier with a companion... my girlfreind and i work alot... usualy opposite shift so the dogs wouldent be home alone more than 5-6 hours at a time (as pups they will have a sitter). is traing 2 easier or harder i havent fully comitted to 2 as of yet but do you all think it would be a good idea for them to have a companion in the house, and a trainging partner? thanks for your responses. boy i need to name this girl so i can stof calling them the dogs.. its just so hard before you can realy evaliuate their personality
I only have one so I can't help you out. I know I wish I had two.![]()
