One of your members referred me to this website earlier this evening. Unfortunately, my story is long and depressing. Here's the short version. I adopted a pug many years ago from a local rescue club. He was my first pug, and I fell in love with him immediately. After having been abused by his previous owner and nearly starving to death, I took him into my home (as a teenager) and drowned him in love. He was with me well over ten years, and just two months ago I lost my sweet puglet angel. Words cannot explain the sense of loss and devastation I'm experiencing. Being a single woman with no kids, he was very much like my child.
Anyway, I figured reading about other pugs and their families might lift my spirits a little. Nothing else has worked so far, but I have a feelilng this is just what I need.
Looking forward to exploring the site,
Heartbroken
Welcome to the village. I'm sorry you had to find us under such sad circumstances. I'm single without children also and I can't imagine losing my girl Izzy. I hope that you can find some joy in the pictures and stories here. And I hope that you can find room in your heart for another pug someday.
These are my girl at her silliest. I hope they bring a smile.

Welcome to the village. I am sorry you are here under these circumstances, but I do hope it helps you.
I know you can never replace your baby, but is another pug in your future?
Enjoy your stay here. We look forward to getting to know you.

Welcome to the village. I am so sorry it is under these circumstances. Do you have any pictures of your sweet angel you could post?
There are many Pugs out there that need the love and caring of a forever
home. I think you need to share the love you have in your heart that is
broken with another. I know you certain things can't be replaced but
somethings can be carried on to another. Go get another Pug that needs
you.
I saw that you are in Plano-any chance of you going to DFW Pug Rescue Pugoween tomorow? Nothing like seeing a bunch of pugs in costumesand several PV'ers will be there. I think we'll meet over by the "Cowtown Pug" Banner....Miss Liza will be modeling her "Sarina Original" dress for the event!
Here are the directions-there is a link down the page.

Good morning and welcome to PugVillage,
You'll be surprised how many members here have lost pugs and other beloved companion pets and every single one of us understand your feelings. It is really a hard situation to endure and I think the best thing you can do is talk about your feelings with friends who honestly do understand and care. In time, the sharp pain of grief you feel now will fade and you'll look back and remember the best times. I don't know why that's true but I truly believe our hearts heal that way.
If you have any idea that you might enjoy another pet, my personal recommendation is to find one. I think we all tend to feel guilty even thinking about getting a new pet when we're grieving the loss of another one but there are so many precious animals out there who need someone to love them, there are so many unwanted, neglected, sometimes abused pets who have so much love to give, pets who need love as much as most of us need to love a pet.
Getting a new pet won't replace the one you've lost, you'll have that precious memory as long as you live, but I think the new pet tends to keep the mind and body so busy that the heart has a chance to heal. I lost a young pug several years ago and I just could not accept it, I was hurt, angry, irrational, and I just could not seem to get over my deep sadness. Then, two months later, a purely spur-of-the-moment event happened that brought an abused and neglected six-month old pug into my life named Jimbo. Jimbo literally reached out for help and in helping him, I helped my own heart heal and five years later he is a total joy in my life.
The CowtownPugs Meet-Up group in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area is a truly nice group of folks and I know you'd enjoy meeting them. My daughter moved to Plano last April - I live in Shreveport. Please know that we'd love to have you stay as a member here and we're all here to listen anytime you want to share your feelings. A lot of people in the world don't understand the bond between us and our pets - but everyone at PugVillage does.
