We have had the most awful weekend...

Saturday night i lost my sweet parrot Ozzy. He died overnight, no apparent reason why, though he is having an autopsy. I dont think i've posted much about my parrots on here, but my boys (conures) Ozzy and Kai were the most adorable, loving little birds and they were so bonded that im very worried for Kai. They had not been seperated since they were babies and i just feel so sad for him, i cant ima\gine what he must be feeling.

RIP little Ozzy

And then, to top it off we lost our beautiful little girl puppy today. We had been expecting it but it doesn't make it any easier.

She has a hernia from birth, and her intestines had come through a hole in her diaphragm into her chest cavity. She didn't grow properly (weighed 1 &1/2 lbs) and her breathing wasn't good, but she was eating, walking around and she was the most affectionate little puppy you could find. On the vets advice we decided to just let her carry on as long as she was happy and not in any pain and then we would have her put to sleep as soon as ot looked as though she was suffering.

We were saved the awful decision to have her put to sleep today. We'd taken some dogs to a local open show for a couple of hours today, and our poor little girl died when we got home. Chloe, her mum, had been in the box with her while we were out, feeding her and looking after her, and when the little girl curled up in her blankets to go to sleep Chloe came out of the box and left her. We went to feed the little puppy shortly after and she had died in her sleep.

It's nice to know she died peacefully, but heartbreaking to lose her after getting so attached... RIP little angel :(

Here's some pictures of her, taken last night. These were the l;ast we took of her.
