I've been meaning to post this -- here is a note my boyfriend (Matt) and I received from his father (Tom) when their beloved Pug, Lila, succumbed to old age. We all loved her very much, and will miss her greatly.

"For over 14 years she provided Matt, Adam, Alex, Michelle and I great joy and we’ll forever miss her. She was a great pet and so wonderful with children. Even with parties at North Drive with a yard full of kids pulling at her curly tail she still loved them all dearly. The house seems so empty without the sound of her nails on the tile, the bark for a treat and the snores and snorts that made her Lila."
