I actually had it done on Pugsly, Taz and Chyna. The funny part is that they were all altered and not show dogs, but when I called to make eye appointments for them because they were of course pugs and I wanted to have a baseline set for them to see if they had any problems so we could keep an eye on them, the front desk clerk said that I could have this CERF exam done which is the normal exam but much cheaper. So, since it was cheaper, I had it done which cost me about half of what a normal exam would cost.

I think it is a great idea especially if you plan to breed. I found out that Taz had multiple small cataracs in his eyes which had been present since birth. The doctor said that they would probably never cause him problems and to look at him, he had the most beautiful, clear, brown eyes. I also found out that Pugsly and Chyna had mild PK.

I do mine.. I came from Am Cockers who have massive eye defects so I just naturally do the Pugs. Willie actually CERF'd perfectly clear, even after all his problems with ulcers We usually have clinics at several shows during the year so I can get it done really reasonably..

I think you will find that they offer 20 places a day for free but they are always fully booked by the time the passes are sent out! you would need your ring number that is on thepass so heaven knows how they get booked up so quickly
