    Default Pregnancy questions

This is my first rodeo with pregnancy and a Pug. *NOTE* We are not a 100% sure that she is bred. I have a few questions, just trying to see if these things are normal in Pug Pregnancy, or maybe Im being an over-reactive Mom. The vet had me put her on a Puppy Food, to help her gain weight. We are feeding her Kibbles and Bits for Small Dog and Puppies....

    1. Her front teets seem to be getting fuller, more so than her back ones. If this normal with pregnancy, or maybe just the food?

    2. She doesnt look like she is gaining weight, when will she start to "show"?

    3. How much play is TOO much?

    4. Is it ok to treat her for fleas? She doesnt have any, but the neighbors dogs do. :/

    5. What should we do to start preparing? Ive bought towels, ALOT of them, cheap ones from a yeard sale that I washed in a fragrence/dye free detergant. We also bought one of those small plastic swimming pools as a whelping box.....

Any addtional information will be greatly appreciated. We are wanting to schedual a C-Section, but I wanted to be prepared if she happened to have them before then.....

    Hi.

I don't know anything about a pregger Pug.... but I can tell you Kibble and Bits is an awful food. If your furbaby is preggers, I would switch her to a good food now, because she will really need her strength.... even if she's not preggers, switch her food anyway...

This is a good place to start understanding doggie food. It may cost a bit more... but in the long run, better for their health and smaller poo's too!

I was uneducated about what I was feeding mine and when I learned what good food really is.... I felt really bad for feeding them junk.

If her fur isn't too thick try a flea comb. I run one across Tilly whenever she is coming back in. Adds 30 seconds but it's been 4 years now since she's had a flea. I hit the hind legs then the tail, down the back and sides, then neck and front legs. She loves the treatment :)

Did your vet do a fecal for intestinal parasites?
