Well i have to its obvious people dont read things, they make things up.Shame but im used to it now :D
I don't think Jacqueline is being "idiotic", she is just concerned and giving you advice.
I think it's good that you're asking questions, so that you can then make your own decision either way, but try not to get defensive.
I would like to think that the majority of people are here to help, and they definitely do have the best and most informative advice!
Don't forget, we're all here for the same reason, we all love pugs &

I don't think people are necessarily assuming; you haven't specified what checks have or haven't been done or are planned. Unless I have missed something, which is possible as I have only skim-read parts of this thread.
Breeding can be an emotive topic, particularly in a breed such as ours which can have dreadful problems.
Also please remember that some comments may not necessarily be aimed 100% at you; Pug Village can be a very useful educational resource. People mention health checks and pedigree studies etc and if you have taken all that into consideration; great. But someone else who may be thinking of a casual mating but has not asked any questions may have not the faintest idea of the necessary care needed. If we can educate such people who may be guests reading the forum I think that is a thoroughly good thing. If they don't get mentioned, the casual reader may never hear about them until it is too late.
If you want people to take the time to answer your questions I am afraid that additional questions from them and comments you may not necessarily have asked for come with the territory.

GothPugs in your first post, your last sentence asks for any other information that we can provide.
Therefore we have given very good advice on why not to breed and also if you're going to breed, how to go about it.
In answer to your feelings that people are not reading your posts correctly. In my opinion it's because they are misleading. Here's one example, you say the information is for you, not your friend. Perfect got that!
You say "I never said my friend is inexperienced" This statement neither confirms nor deny's but leads one to believe that she is experienced but then why would you have to ask us for the information in your first post? That would lead one to believe that you are both inexperienced in breeding. I don't think it's necessary to go on further. This is not a reprimand but an explanation.
It doesn't matter one way or another. You asked for help and members here answered your call and provided the information you asked for and now it is yours to do with as you please.
