I think that one of the biggest things I resent about the "designer dogs"...is that people that produce them...do not support a rescue to take care of those that are unwanted!!!! The pure breed rescues cannot take them in as there are just too many of the breed that need help. If you're gonna breed something.....then support rescue....and take back those that you've bred that are no longer wanted!!!

The other thing that grabs me is that there have been MUTTS since there have been two different breeds!!! To purposely breed them together is for greed!!!! Breeding should only be done to better the breed...... If people want a mutt...there are plenty that need homes in shelters...and often they're cuter than the ones produced on purpose.

Im not a fan of designer dogs. Sure some are cute, but there are enough purebred dogs in rescues and shelters waiting for homes so why add mixed breeds to the list as well.

I will jump in on this too..personally a designer dog might be cute..but they are expensive and what for.
Diane is right they do not support rescue..I seen a puggle the other dog..pug crossed with a beagle. the girl paid the same amount as I did for my registered pugs from a show breeder.......that is sad really. it is about greed.
the breeder that I got my pugs from supports rescue and is there for help the life of the dog and you also do not get that with designer dogs.
A pugs world is full of play and sleep and of course good food.........
