Question To be at birth or not to be...

    Hi
Strange question, but Elsa is due her puppies in about 2 weeks (19th Dec) and is going back to her breeder to have them (who happens to be my sister!).

I am having my last few cuddles with her at the moment and am wondering what I will do without her

I have asked to be called to be there when she gives birth - its about a 2hr drive away.

Now, will that stress her out more or help her? I can see both sides of the argument. I would love to be there, but also don't want her to stress out unnessesarily (after not being with me for 2wks or more?)

Reason for going so soon is to settle her in and in case she's early.

So... do I go or do I visit after?

ps - very exciting... I'm guessing 5 puppies

I have decided to stay away until after the birth, her mum got stressed last time with just my other sister watching, ended up having a caesarian section. I will definately be there ASAP afterwards though - then to bring them home... now thats exciting
