Skinny pug update (an extremely sad one)

I just wanted to update that saturday morning our boston terrier louie who was only 4 years old was found dead. We called our vet and they didn't know what to say. They now think he may have either had something congenital or long term emaciation (he has 'always' been thin according to moron previous owners) and his organs were just failing. So basically we had him for a year, tried every test we could afford, tried different diets and began home cooking and everything failed. We feel like we failed him. We are clinging to our remaining pets and this loss hit hard.

Please do not think that you failed him. You took him in and tried everything you could. At least you gave him love and happiness for his final year.

I'm so very sorry!!!

I lost a 1 yr old of my breeding. She was VERY thin!!! They did a narcolepsy and found that she had a mass that had tentacles that were wrapping around part of her stomach, her intestines, and reaching for her heart!

Oh my goodness.....I am SO very heartbroken for you. I know how tough it is to deal with losing a loved pet. You must not feel bad, as you said, your family did EVERYTHING you could, and at least his last year was the best he's ever had. Many healing hugs to you. RIP sweet Louie
