    Default Hemorrhoid

I've noticed a few times recently that Oscar has come inside after going to the bathroom with a hemorrhoid. Is there something I could add to his food to make it not so hard for him to go?

I've seen him working hard to poop the times he gets them and it's not there before but is after, so that's what I would assume it is. Are psyllium husks something you can get at a regular store or do I need to get them at a special store?

Dogs don't usually get hemorrhoids, but abscessed anal glands can look like them. I'd have your vet check him to be sure.

Dogs do not get hemorrhoids, but it could be an anal prolapse, which is when a small amount of the anus prolapses, or shows itself, after a hard bowel movement.

Interesting!!! I only assumed because we do, that they can too. I guess when I bring him into the vet Monday for his shots I'll have to ask about it. Thanks for letting me know!
