Elizabeth called me today. She will send some pictures of them soon.

Fatima, the little maltese, had surgery to remove a mammary tumor and she had pyometria, it was also discovered, during surgery that she only has 1 kidney. They drained off a lot of water, but she is beginning to retain water again so they are working on improving her kidney function and possibly putting her on lasix or another medication.

Jacob, the pug, has poor kidney function, an enlarged heart, heart murmur and is blind and deaf. He also had a systemic infection. they have him on antibiotics and are focusing on his kidney function as well.

I am in awe of the amount of money Elizabeth pours into these dogs from her own pocket. She has so many and so many are critical, but she never hesitates to do whatever they need no matter how old or bad they are. She's an amazing person.
