Glad he's doing better, and sleep (especially with Mommy) is a great healer. He will probably sleep the whole time you are at work tomorrow!!

    Hi
My BC had both femur heads removed also when she was just over a year old. The worse case of hip dysplacia the vet had seen (in their opinion!) and unfortunately they didn't make hip replacements her size, either for small dogs or larger dogs! She, even as a puppy, was like an old lady after a walk, really stiff on raising from a sleep. I suspected her problem but had it comfirmed around 6mths when I had her spayed.
She was apparently always in some pain with arthritis etc. but still bound around and found her puppy-hood at 14mths old. She loved to romp and run, swim around in the sea. She was 8yrs old when the time came to say goodbye, but we know she had a happy life and was extended because of her operations.
Glad to hear Hogan is doing well. I never had pain patches (not even heard of them) but was administering pain relief by vet injections and metacam also. The shaking could have been stress/shock from the op itself??
    JJ and of course Elsa
