Ruby is doing REALLY well....up at 3.30am wanting to play! Arghhhhh! LOL. The Cyclosporin is what the vet mentioned. $80 just for the meds - no vet visit. I saw on the web that it costs about $30 USD for 3.5mg and lots of complaints in Australia that it is soooo expensive - so I guess it is more expensive in Australia. :-(
Ruby has to go back on Tuesday to check her eyes and I will pick up the Cyclosporin then. I asked the vet how can I tell if she has an ulcer and they said these were so small they were not visible to our eyes - only when they stained her eyes. (She had a green tinge to her eyes yesterday). I was wondering if my taking her to the beach the week before was the cause of the ulcers - quite frightening to know the ulcers can happen so easily and I can't even tell! Thanks for all the support. Ruby has done exceptionally well after the spay - I'm quite surprised as she is so small and fragile looking and I couldn't be happier. If there is anything else that I should be doing to treat her dry eye - please let me know.
