Default Are you supposed to trim the hair on the pads of the PUGS FEET??

my MOM told me that all dogs need the hair on the bottom of the feet trimmed to keep the pad clear.
I just noticed that Zeena has very long hair on her pads.
    the boys are hardly noticeable..
    never done this before...
just curious if it should be done

also noticed that one bulldog has long hairs too and the other does not..
    on the feet

my mom says she does this once a month for her daschound..

    any thoughts?

Ive always heard it should be trimmed on any dog that has hair sticking out there. It helps them not slip around on slick surfaces. Maybe you could ask a groomer?

My trainer said not to, because it can protect sensitive pads?????

Shouldn't need to do anything to a dog that sheds. Breeds that do not shed need hair trimmed on feets!
