The Vet Checkups
We took the pugs for their free checkup yesterday. Everythin went well. Yoda is doing great, vet said his heart sounds healthy & that we're doing a great job with him, as he has no problems & is a monkey haha. He is SUCH a mommy's boy, has to be in my arms hanging over my shoulder before he'll let anyone touch him at the vet.
Leia on the other hand has to lose another 1kg, she's at 8kg's now, since the 10kg she was at when she first came to us!
The vet studied her PK and said it's not at a bad stage & that we could very well have caught it early neough to even cure it with the tacrolimus. He could not find any eyelashes that are causing problems, and she has no eye/corneal ulcers. So we must just keep up with the Tacrolimus for life! Anyone know the price of this in the UK? Also have to work on her nose roll, as its always moist! Her tongue is so long, she obsessively licks her nose and nose roll, eugh! So we have anti septic solution to clean it with, must keep it dry dry dry.
We also got something called Omega Aid (Omega 3 & 6 oils, as well as Zinc & something else, mind is blank!) We put in with their food morning and night, helps the joints, and brain function as well as healthier coat. The vet seems to firmly believe it will help their shedding a bit. YAY. We even got teeth cleaner/breath freshener to put in their water, as Leia tends to get a tartar build up, and her breath could knock over a goat, seriously. haha. Her teeth are all healthy, so thats great too.
I must dash, but just wanted to share the all round good news.
