Beefy's currently getting some salmon oil squirted on top of his food every meal, but he's almost out... maybe after this bottle runs out we'll try some coconut oil. I've actually been wanting to get some of that for myself too! I saw some at Trader Joe's the other day, but I'll have to double check what kind it is. I do think I'm going to get some probiotics for him as well. I'll probably start doing the vinegar rinses a few times per week and continue to use the medicated shampoo.

@Cellophane: He gets his ketoconazole twice a day with his breakfast and dinner. He's had a Ketoconazole spray that didn't do much and we've also done Vetericyn, which definitely helped. He's currently getting baths with Malaseb shampoos, it has a different antifungal than the Keto. Luckily he doesn't have yeast issues in his ears, it seems to be centrally located on his belly...

I'm getting ready to move to Utah in a few weeks, so I'll probably try and find a vet there who can do some allergy testing for us. *sigh*

I just watched her youtube video and I think I'm going to start putting some crushed garlic in his food as well. I also just ordered the Mercola probiotics... (I googled coupons for it and found one for 10 dollars off!)

I wish they made a dog food that was completely carbohydrate free. I'd like to have him on strictly protein, but I'm too afraid to try and concoct something on my own.

try some Epigen. It is starch free. Wysong Epigen™ Starch Free™ Dog Food, Cat Food, Pet Food. I use the Epigen Fish. Natures Logic has a whole food supplement - no synthetics. You could give that with just some raw meat now and then in between what you're already feeding. Nature's Logic

Her other video mentions that povodone iodine can also help with yeast: Skin Infections and Your Dog - YouTube
