Pink Belly progress! When we first adopted Izabella, her tummy was almost completely grey/black, and her nipples were very large and dangly. Vet said she'd recently weaned a litter. I did not know until I joined PV that the dark color was actually a sign of a dog less than perfectly healthy. We put her on a good grain free (though not completely carb free) food, Taste of the Wild High Plains (I think that is it, the one in the yellow bag).
Here is a picture of her tummy a few weeks after being on the TOTW:
She'd been spayed the day I took this picture. It actually had improved a bit already. It is difficult to see just how floppy her nipples were, but the back ones in particular were very dangly. In fact, when I first picked her up out of the middle of the highway, I felt to see if she was a girl or a boy, and guessed boy from feeling one of the nipples! It felt just like a little puppy's business!
This was taken after a few months on TOTW. I forgot exactly when this was taken, and did not date it.
And I took this one tonight, amost exactly six months after we adopted her. What an amazing difference! She still has some black crusty yeasties on the very back nipples, but those were solid black to begin with.

Just look at that pink tum-tum. I've been feeding TOTW for about a year now and mine are all doing great on it.
We never touch people so lightly that we don't leave a trace.
