So I am preparing the way for the pug we are adopting at the beginning of Jan.

Hes going to get his own bed, blanket, toys, and food dishes (I read that my boston who has been an only child for 5 years might not take well to others playing with her stuff...?) and I am trying to think of other things I should get for him.

I am feeding my boston trader joes dry food chicken and rice flavor, which I guess is better than most dog foods but not the best as it has a little bit of 'wheat grains' which some dogs are allergic to... i am pretty sure my boston isnt allergic to anything because shes eaten everything from a bag of mint oreos to cigarettes (I dont even know...) to raisins (out of MY PURSE!) to earth worms and hasn't died or even gotten sick (shes like a tank.) But I did find a store here that sells Taste of the Wild (which i read is a really good grain free food). Other than that:
-I thought apples were poisonous to dogs... but another thread said that apples are good for them?
-Is there any thing else i can feed the pug (besides dry food) that will make his fur really soft?
-Any suggestions for dog treats, chewies, or snacks?

the puggy has flea dermatitis :( hes getting a special shampoo bath (not sure which shampoo - foster is going to give me the bottle when we pick him up). He's been at the foster home for a solid month now, and his back still has missing fur patches as well as the base of his tail.
-Does anyone know how long flea dermatitis lasts if there are no fleas to keep irritating the skin?
-If I rub aloe vera on him will that help? Coconut oil?

Also, I noticed on his tummy he has little red bumps :( Is it from the skin dermatitis?

I appreciate any advice :) thanks!
