Ummmm.... how do I know if she's going into heat?

Both boys are fascinated, of course, at having an intact female in the house. We have zero experience with intact females. Both our boys are neutered, but that's not a preventive against mating and tying.... so how do we know if she's going into heat? I just caught Wally humping her, but he didn't have an erection, so it looked more like a dominance thing. We won't leave them home alone together, but I'll have to go to the bathroom eventually.....

Well, you are going to be a mom soon, so that means days of being by yourself in the bathroom will come to an end. When you need to go, just bring the cute little girl along with you, then Wally and Leto will wait at the door and you don't have to worry about leaving anyone alone.LOL

When in heat they swell a bit, and they have discharge, usually is bright red but thin blood, a spot here and a spot there. If you send a pic of her girl parts I can tell you if it looks swollen.

No discharge that I have seen, and we have light coloured sofa cover and she spent the day in the bathroom, so I think I would have noticed.

The boys are just sooooooooo interested.

While it's hard to tell scale because it's extreme close-up, everything looks pretty normal.

Scot's out driving tonight for Operation Red Nose so I'm alone, and the more interested in her parts I was the more interested W and L were.... it was like a Keystone Kops bit with me trying to get the photo. She doesn't stand still, so I was bending over in the middle (not my forte right now) and lifting her rear off the ground to get the camera angle, and one of the boys would rush in to get a good look/sniff, while Ruby wheelbarrowed off in some direction I couldn't easily follow (usually between my legs). I got a lot of pics of the floor, the ceiling, and the back of Wally's head.

Update: I think the humping was establishing the pecking order -- Wally is in the top, Ruby's in the middle, and poor Leto is at the bottom. After one hum this morning, things settled right down and they've been sleepy and peaceful together all day. One other funny thing happened last night late: Wally grabbed one of her danglier nipples and gave it a good try, then looked at me and smacked his lips, as if to say "It's not working right"!!! LOL

anyhow they do the humping for pecking order..the girls on the girls too. the boys on the boys too........see it all the time here..... Bella especially humps the pugs to show her dominance and they do not like it one one bit...lol
