Default Our little Olivia is going to be spayed on 12/21/11

Any advice for taking care of her afterwards? It's been many, many years since I've had a puppy spayed. She is 6 months and I think might be coming into her first heat soon...she have been humping my leg! LOL

My Marley is due the first week in January for this, too. Usually they advise keeping them as calm as possible for a day or two & they're usually back to their busy self. This isn't as easy as it sounds with these guys--calm isn't in their little heads!!

Aw my Nano is getting neutered the first week of January as well :< I'm so scared! I'm sure all of our little furry babies will pull through though :)

I think keeping them calm will definitely be the biggest challenge!
Nano is: 9 months and 27 lbs :)

She'll probably be pretty sleepy the first day, but after you can either crate her or keep her on a leash next to you to keep her from running or jumping. They seem to bounce back amazingly fast, not like people at all.

Keeping them quiet and calm after the first day is really the hardest part. Crate is usually best, she'll be back to her usual self in no time. Prayers for her speedy recovery.

Well, today is day 2. She did great. Back to herself the next day. Last night I coould tell she was itchy from where they shaved her. For some reason she has been going potty in the house after having been potty trained! Maybe she's mad at me! :(

Now's the time you have to watch her for jumping and doing too much! You don't want her to rip open the inside stitches! Try to keep her calm for at least a week!
