My little Ozzy (4 monts old), goes poop #1 as soon as he wakes up in the morning, #2 shortly after breakfast -6:30am, #3 shortly after lunch - 12:00pm, #4 shortly after his dinner - 5:30pm and then #5 right before bed at 10:00pm.
So 5 times in total per day is normal for him.
My Lola (10 months old) goes 2 or 3 times a day. She also gets fed twice a day as opposed to 3 times for Ozzy, and being older, she can hold it longer too!

i am verry sorry for not answering to you so many days , i had a connection problem on my pc.so sugarsskullz i suppose its normal?and frankoliverlusy i feed him hills puppy 3 times a day. it suppose to be a good one. do you have any suggestions.?today from in 5 hours he has done already 3 times!!
What kind of consistency is the poop? If it is very soft then the food might not agree with him very well and it may be worth transitioning him (gradually) onto a new food. I wouldn't be expecting a puppy to poop much more often than 5 times a day. However sometimes they do one "main" poop and another, smaller and usually slightly softer, poop within about 15 mins of the first. I could those two as one poop - I think sometimes they get distracted and rush off before they finish the job.

Your not disgusting, poop and pee is a main subject of conversation around here! Check out Dog Food Reviews | Dog Food Ratings to see where your present food rates and to get an idea of what is available. Shoot for 4 or 5 stars foods.
ok thanks!
It always amazes me how much of our lives revolve around what comes out of our pets' rear ends, poop and pee both. Colour, smell, consistency, frequency are all important and any change is noteworthy as a possible indicator of changing health (for better or worse, depending what the change is).
My horse is a pee-er. Gallons and gallons at a time. It's normal for him.... He floods his stall and is a pain for everyone to clean up afterward. I hear about it frequently. But believe me, if that wetness ever decreased by one drop, we would all be calling the vet in a huge hurry.
